SOL.M Society began as just "SOL.M" back in 2018. Madison has always been in love with anything that involved art or creativity since she was little. It was around her 9th birthday when she asked for her first sewing machine in hopes to start her own clothing brand one day. Fast forward to highschool, Madison always knew she wanted to be an entrepreneur, as she couldnt shake the fear of having to choose just one passion for the rest of her life. This is when, in digital photography class of her junior year, they were assigned a project where they had to practice making a logo for a made-up brand on Adobe Photoshop. It was here that Madison decided to spend some extra time on her logo, as she immediately thought "instead of doing this for a made-up brand, why dont I use whatever I come up with as my logo for the clothes I make?". Without hesitation, she knew she wanted it to have something to do with the sun, as she has been absolutely obsessed with the sun since she was little. This is when she came up with "sun by Madison", but thought, "how can I make that into a logo?" which is when "sol.m" came into thought; sol means sun in spanish, the period represents the "by" and the m stands for Madison. She began to type up the name sol.m in different fonts and then even began to think how she could replace the period with a sun, which she later drew in by hand on Adobe Photoshop. Sitting back and looking at the final product on her computer screen with minutes left before the bell rang, Madison decided to press 'command I' in hopes to italicize "sol.m", but instead the application froze, and left her with a glitched version of the logo. The bell rang, everyone got up to leave class and Madison stayed sitting there, frantically trying to somehow save or screenshot the glitched logo before it went back to normal. She called her teacher over and asked for help on saving it as her teacher kept going "I have no idea how you even got it to do this!", as Madison responded and laughed "neither do I, but help me save it because I love it!"; and that is the logo for SOL.M Society today.
